Being independent to the lab providers, we demand the highest standards in all of our testing services. Apart from working with ISO 17025:2017 accredited-only laboratories, we actively engage with the laboratories during our regular technical audits and the generation of test results to dictate the most effective course of testing. This is particularly important for tests that are not covered by international standards, as in the case of proprietary offerings from vendors, that may or may not be beneficial to a client’s case.
Being also independent to fuel or lub. oil suppliers, we can thoroughly test any onboard fluids and provide an unbiased assessment for maximum inventory utilization, operational efficiency and asset reliability.
Information technology is continuously developing and is the enabler for nearly every business. MARLAB sees IT systems as more than just an enabler – it’s the competitive advantage that allows clients to receive our services in the most efficient way possible, and ensures you receive the information you need in a timely and efficient manner. As part of the Fameline Group, MARLAB has access to a dedicated IT support team and is actively looking to innovate and continuously develop its systems.
The MARLAB platform provides clients protected access to complete analysis data. A single source to view analysis results, organise data as required – by office, fleet, or vessel hierarchy. The client can also filter the data to obtain port-specific, parameter-specific, supplier-specific information. Fuel quality statistical data is also made available to the client upon request. With an ever-growing database of equipment and analysis we can provide insights and benchmarking information.
MARLAB understands the benefit of data integration and can offer clients the ability to utilise API services to integrate the analysis data and alerts with their vessel and company management and reporting systems. As well as automating reporting, we can provide electronic invoicing to streamline your accounts payable process and ensure your costs are kept to a minimum.
To guarantee compliance in today’s heavily regulated maritime industry, MARLAB has a strategic partnership with a network of testing laboratories across the globe, that are accredited to ISO 17025:2017 standard, the latest version of the highest level of lab certification. As part of the accreditation process, the laboratory’s quality management system is evaluated by a third-party assessor to verify the lab’s technical competence and ability to produce precise and accurate test data.
MARLAB has also partnered up with DHL, under a very competitive global agreement, for the end-to-end logistical handling of test kits and samples shipping – except for within USA where FEDEX is utilised.
MARLAB also has the capability to handle samples shipping from challenging ports around the world. Crew is provided with instructions on how to package and ship samples, to prevent any lost samples and time lost in custom clearance.
